Zoya Lux

Hello Everyone! If you like textured polish, then this blog is for you! Today I have for you Zoya Lux, from the new pixie textured polish from Zoya's Magical Pixie line!

I know there have been quiet a few blogs already on this polish and/or all 3 from the Magical Pixie line! But I wanted to give my point of view at least from one of the polishes, so I chose Lux!

Let me show you the pictures of Lux then I'll give you my opinion! Warning, kinda picture heavy! Oh, best part is No Topcoat (I just couldn't do that).

This one ^^ was taken while in church!
The lightening in the building was awesome to show this off!

No flash on these pictures at all (not even the one from church).

As you see, it has all different kinds of sparkly goodness to it, what makes this Pixie line so Magical is the Holo Mega Hex Glitters (this is a first for Zoya). So not only does it have the normal pixie sparkle but it has the holo sparkle too! And when the sun or any kind of light catches it, it is a beauty!

This polish applied beautifully, I will have to that the clean up was a little harder than normal, but that is to be expected when you are working with glitter polishes! This is 3 coats and no topcoat, just can't put a top coat over this beauty but you can if you want :). One awesome thing I love about Zoya products and this one goes into the same line of that, is that they wear sooo well!

I heard on a few other blogs that the mega hex glitter was chunky and was catching on things, I have to say I have now had this polish on for 3 days now and I haven't snagged it on anything and I can barely feel the mega hex glitters (yes they are there but can't feel them). I have to say when I read that about them, I was disappointed but decided to give it a try anyways! Yeah, I'm in love!

So bottom line is, don't be nervous or scared with the new Pixie line, actually I highly recommend them, especially if you love texture polishes (like I do).

I give this line and Zoya an A+ all the way!

You can find Lux and the other two Pixie Sisters: Cosmo and Vega on Zoya.com retail at 10.00

Well I hope you guys enjoy this as much I have enjoyed this polish, if the pictures don't speak for themselves alone :)!

Until later, Keep polishin' and colorful

NailNation 3000-...My Dearest Poseidon

Hello All! Hope you all are having a great week!!! I don't know about you (and if you live in a state that has gotten TONS of snow, I'm sure you are) but I'm ready for spring! I'm getting this itch where I want to go buy a really cute spring top (that maybe this weekend's job). And I live in FL and I'm ready for spring! Well, its been near the 80's here and very beautiful weather and received in the mail my very first NailNation 3000 polish! And it is definitely a spring color (and wish was made in 2009 for my wedding, my wedding blue color). Anyways, this polish is a stunning carribean blue!

Here is NailNation's description of it and they hit it on the nail with this description:
This is a mega blue holo with smooth application opaque in two coats color. Hard to catch on camera but this color also has a lot of green iridescent glitters that pop in sunlight. As well as cool ocean blue tone.

Let's just get to the pictures shall we! *Side Note* It was a tad bit harder to do clean up so please excuse that part!

                                                               Flash ^
                                                                  Flash ^

The last two photos, I used the light on my phone to shine on it so I could try to get the Holo goodness in the pictures, its not the best shots but you can see it some what!

This is 3 coats (and thick, as this is a sheer polish) with topcoat. Topcoat used was Poshe' this time. It applied beautifully, I as explained in my side note it was a tad bit harder to do cleanup but that is okay! Let me just say if you don't have this one get it QUICK as it is limited and no more of it will be made! I love how stunning this blue is! Even sitting in a not well lit room it is still stunning! And when you are in a not in the sun you can see the green flecks in it! Dry time was amazing especially having to do thicker coats to just wear it on its own!

If you can't tell by now I'm really excited and IMPRESSED by this polish and the polish maker.

This would look amazing over a blue or white even polish!

NailNation 3000 is 3 free! For more information on this or NailNation you can visit their website at their store:

Hope you enjoy this beauty and hope it brought a little spring into your life!

Until later! Keep Polishin' and Colorful!

Valentine's Day Blog -Lacquerhead Polish You need more Wine

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!

This is my Valentine's Day Blog for today! Today I bring you Lacquerhead Polish~ You Need More Wine!

This is a gorgeous red jelly polish with Scattered to Linear Holo in it! This polish went on with a breeze and easy (oh so easy) to work with and apply! And one of the awesome things that I love about Lacquerhead polishes is that she uses flat brushes (Heaven to me)! I'm gonna show you the pictures, a couple of things, sorry a couple of them are blurry (I was starting to lose daylight and I wanted to capture the beauty) also, I did an accent nail with hand made hearts on them (using a Sinful Color)! I did use topcoat on them (I'm pretty sure you'll be able to tell)

Well, let me quit blabbing and you enjoy the pictures! OH, before I forget Laquerhead Polish has a code for 20% off an order because its her birthday weekend!!  And I hope your sweetie does something AWESOME for you on Valentine's Day!!! Happy Valentine's Day from Mani's Desires

Bliss Kiss Nail Oil

Hello All!!! Been awhile I know! Sorry for that, I had company in town last week (aka in-laws). Hope you all have been doing AMAZING and staying WARM!

Today I want to bring you Bliss Kiss Nail Oil, if you have been seeing on my facebook page, I did a challenge with it called "Going Naked for 3 Days" (that was torture, :p). Anyways, Bliss Kiss is a Nail Oil that you massage into your cuticles up to your first knuckle! It helps with getting moisture back into your nails, this is helpful especially if you change your polish A LOT! And it also helps with peeling in the nails, which I believe is where the putting moisture back into your nails comes to help!

I did document my progress! Let me show you the Oil "Pen" then go from there:

This pen is supposed to last your 5-8 days, well I have very small nail bed so mine has lasted longer than that and I have used it everyday since my challenge (Sunday will be a week).

My nails before the challenge (and I did apply just before this picture, but it was two mins before hand), Pictures in order is Day 1-2. The Second Day you could tell it was working and I was very pleased with the 2nd day results, btw this Nail Oil felt so good to put on and non greasy.

This is Day 3
Day 3 was even better! I did paint my nails that night cause I had an event the next night that I needed to coordinate with for that night.
Everytime I remove my polish my nails look great! I have read that this oil helps with it turning you nails back to white BUT it didn't with me and that might happen if I stayed naked for a long while!
I also chose the "Crisp" scent, it is not a bad scent, not strong just right, BUT if you have issues with scents (like some polishes have a scent and can bother people) then stay away cause the scent does linger until you wash your hands.

I read on Bliss Kiss' facebook page to make sure while you are in the shower to actually have a basecoat on and wrap it around the tips, because the water while in the shower is the ones that are actually doing the damage. Not saying that your remover doesn't because I know it does as well!

I want to buy the full size bottle of this stuff when my pen is empty or close to!

End of 2013 Blog Post!~ You Polish~ DiverCity

Hey everyone!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a wonderful new year!

I am excited for what 2014 will bring (especially in the polish world). So, to get there let me give you my last Blog Post for the Year!! This post I asked you on my facebook page is you thought it was a holo, jelly or matte polish!

WELLLL..... It's a holo! A custom holo none the less! It is from You Polish! Now Lauren and I didn't name it but I am going to name it now, it is called: DiverCity, pronounced as Diversity,  (if you have ever heard of Toby Mac's song, you'll understand). This polish is a diversity of a polish! It is a linear holo that I had custom from Lauren! Who did do an awesome job!

When I looked at this polish in person, the name DiverCity came to me right away, it shifts to an undertone of pink, purple and a red! When I asked Lauren for a red linear holo (more like Crimson) this is how it came out! Which is perfectly fine! Here let me show you this stunning polish!

As you can see here, you can see the undertone of pink but also the red!

Even better shot of what you can see of the undertone of pink and the red!

Unfortunately, we ended up having no sun today, this is without flash outside. I see a rosy color along with the red peeking out! Still a stunning color!

An outside with flash (Really wished the sun was out today, it is the sunshine state afterall).

I don't know about you but I'm seeing hints of undertone of the purple! It is more apparent to the eye, than the pictures. (Inside Flash)

(Inside no flash), ah red!!

This color is an amazing polish and stunning to say the least! And I love love love linear holo's so this tops it right there! Lauren did a great job with communicating with me and trying to get as close as possible that I wanted in a polish!

This went on in two coats topped with KBShimmer topcoat, this polish went on smooth and actually it could go on with just one coat (but I always play the safe side of things). I can't wait to get more holo's from Lauren at You Polish, as matter of fact, her January box has her new holo's and new labels. SO, I'm expecting that soon!!! I have a love for You Polish that is undescribable. I have loved her work for a long time now!

If you have no idea who or what she does check her out at www.youpolish.com OR her facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/youpolish

I can't wait for 2014 to start and have a brand new year to start in the polish world, and who knows my post just may not be about polishes! Are any of you into scarfs? Just wondering! I hope you ALL have a wonderful and joyous holiday! Hope you got wonderful gifts and family time!!! Happy New Year and see you in 2014!

Until then, Keep Polishin' and Colorful!!!

Ho Ho Ho

Ho, Ho, Ho! Its that wonderful time of year again!

I have posted on Facebook as you probably saw, that I'm challenging myself to do a Christmas/Winter Theme once a week, this may include on accent nail with the theme or all nails (we'll see how creative I can be).

Today I bring you the first one! I used Zoya on all this mani. You'll see Zoya Hunter, Purity, Solange, and Chyna!

I call this mani~ Holly

As you all probably know, Zoya is my favorite brand of all brands out there! Well, I had no issues using Zoya's at all. All polishes went on smoothly! And I topped Zoya Armor topcoat! Well, I just wanted to blog about this mani and let ya'll know what is going on in Mani's Desires world!

Hope you all have a great Dec., no worries there will be more blogs this month (since I do have the challenge).

If you are where it is snowing and nasty winter weather be safe and careful!!

Until later! Keep Polishin' and Colorful!
