Essie DJ Play That Song

Evening Ya'll! I hope you all have had a great weekend/Sunday. My weekend was pretty lazy and relaxing which is always nice!

Now, why I'm really here! Tonight I bring to you Essie's DJ Play That Song! From Essie's Neon Collection of 2013.

DJ Play That Song is a bright purple with magenta undertone! Here let me show you!

No Flash totally in the sun!

No Flash as the sun was starting to go down, with an accent
of Lime Rickey from Glitter Guilty

DJ Play That Song with 2 coats, honestly could have done 3 for more coverage. The first photo does not have a top coat on it. DJ Play That Song dries Matte-ish. I say 'ish' because it also applies like a jelly and looks like a jelly the more I looked at it without and with topcoat! The bottom picture has top coat on it NYC "In a Minute" (forgive me I can't remember the full name).

I actually want to wear this one again and maybe just maybe try it as a jelly sandwhich! BUT I do know with 2 coats it does kinda opaque it, so I don't know how well a Jelly Sandwhich would actually work!

The application on this wasn't bad even the first coat, it evened out like no problems! It is a bright purple but its not like in your face. The photos actually show it more brighter than it should be honestly!.

Overall, this polish is worth having in your collection, especially if you are an Essie fan or a purple fan! And this is great for summer! Its great for fingers and toes!
Retails at stores for $8.00
So what do you think? Would you want this? And would you try this out as a Jelly Sandwhich.

Until then, Keep polishin' and colorful!

China Glaze 2013 Summer Texture

Hey ya'll! Hope you all are having a fantastic week! Today I bring you the collection of China Glaze 2013 Summer Textures! This post I plan on posting all the pictures and then give my thoughts on the whole set! I do want to make note that, my nails don't look the best as I did seem have a problem removing the polishes as I was swatching for this blog. But more on that later! Let's get to the pictures (I will put the name on the bottom of the pictures).

                 Bump & Grind

                                                                       Unrefined

                                                                  Itty, Bitty & Gritty

                                                                       Of Coarse!

                                                                     In The Rough

                                                                   Toe-Tally Textured

Of Coarse! With Two coats of Topcoat!

Overall, this collection isn't bad! I see this collection definitely only for summer (but that is me). If you are going to the beach this summer for vacation or just what you do and are looking for a summery collection for that purpose, this is one of those collections I could easily see at the beach! Such as for sure Of Coarse! When I look at this polish I can see the blue waters and wishing I was at the beach!

If you are looking for a toe popping polish just for flip flopping wearing! I highly suggest In the Rough and Toe- Tally Textured! They just look like they would be great to put on while wearing flip flops. And Summer is for flip flops :)!

My downfalls on this collection is: 3 out of the 6 are a lot more pink than I would want! I don't have a problem with pink in summer collections BUT 3 of them? If I had to chose one of the pinks it would be Itty, Bitty & Gritty. I love the coral that I can see in it! Another downfall on this collections is: Seems that the pink stain, it could be me because I didn't prepare my nails like I normally do, so in saying that I'm willing to give the pink ones a chance again! Last downfall is as I mentioned in the beginning was the cleanup. Taking the polishes off almost was a nightmare, the grittiness in them that makes the textured part in the polishes makes it really gritty and hard to get off, I had to use hand sanitizer to make my hands feel like I was accomplishing getting the grittiness off.

If those are my only downfalls on this collection! I would say it is kinda of a success. Overall, I like these polishes and not a bad collection! If I had to compare them to the OPI and Zoya textured polishes, hands down OPI and Zoya would win! Hope this helps make up your mind! I wouldn't trade this collection cause I could definitely see them being used during the summer! I do wish they weren't so topcoat thirsty, but that is what you get with textured polishes!

Tip: If you use felt to remove your polish, felt is GREAT for removing these polishes (that I posted today). I found it did take a lot of the grittiness away too!

You can find at Sally's Beauty Supply stores: Retails for $5.99-$6.99

Until later Keep Calm and Colorful!

Teal We Meet

Hey Everyone! Hope your week is going great! Today I bring you a LE polish of Teal We Meet by You Polish!

Teal We Meet is a teal linear holo polish! If you are a blue, teal or aqua person you might love this one! Let me show you what I'm talking about!
I know the picture look more blue than teal, but it natural light it does lean more to teal! This polish was an easy application (as I have expericened with You Polish all have been). I would have taken a picture with no flash, but you couldn't see the holo :( Not even in the sun :(. Overall, this polish is a good polish! I do wish the holo was a little stronger but its okay!

This is 3 coats with OTD topcoat (as you know by now my favorite topcoat). If you can convience someone to custom make this polish for you I would do it!

You can find You Polish on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/youpolish?fref=ts and watch for her post as she does monthly boxes!

Until later Keep On and Keep Colorful!
