End of 2013 Blog Post!~ You Polish~ DiverCity

Hey everyone!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a wonderful new year!

I am excited for what 2014 will bring (especially in the polish world). So, to get there let me give you my last Blog Post for the Year!! This post I asked you on my facebook page is you thought it was a holo, jelly or matte polish!

WELLLL..... It's a holo! A custom holo none the less! It is from You Polish! Now Lauren and I didn't name it but I am going to name it now, it is called: DiverCity, pronounced as Diversity,  (if you have ever heard of Toby Mac's song, you'll understand). This polish is a diversity of a polish! It is a linear holo that I had custom from Lauren! Who did do an awesome job!

When I looked at this polish in person, the name DiverCity came to me right away, it shifts to an undertone of pink, purple and a red! When I asked Lauren for a red linear holo (more like Crimson) this is how it came out! Which is perfectly fine! Here let me show you this stunning polish!

As you can see here, you can see the undertone of pink but also the red!

Even better shot of what you can see of the undertone of pink and the red!

Unfortunately, we ended up having no sun today, this is without flash outside. I see a rosy color along with the red peeking out! Still a stunning color!

An outside with flash (Really wished the sun was out today, it is the sunshine state afterall).

I don't know about you but I'm seeing hints of undertone of the purple! It is more apparent to the eye, than the pictures. (Inside Flash)

(Inside no flash), ah red!!

This color is an amazing polish and stunning to say the least! And I love love love linear holo's so this tops it right there! Lauren did a great job with communicating with me and trying to get as close as possible that I wanted in a polish!

This went on in two coats topped with KBShimmer topcoat, this polish went on smooth and actually it could go on with just one coat (but I always play the safe side of things). I can't wait to get more holo's from Lauren at You Polish, as matter of fact, her January box has her new holo's and new labels. SO, I'm expecting that soon!!! I have a love for You Polish that is undescribable. I have loved her work for a long time now!

If you have no idea who or what she does check her out at www.youpolish.com OR her facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/youpolish

I can't wait for 2014 to start and have a brand new year to start in the polish world, and who knows my post just may not be about polishes! Are any of you into scarfs? Just wondering! I hope you ALL have a wonderful and joyous holiday! Hope you got wonderful gifts and family time!!! Happy New Year and see you in 2014!

Until then, Keep Polishin' and Colorful!!!

Hey Everyone! Hope you are all doing well!!

Today I have Above the Curve's Scarlet for fall season! It is a gorgeous cranberry red polish with scattered holo in it!

This also has undertones of purple in it, in certain lights!

Scarlet went on easy! No streaking, actually I could have done one coat and would have been done with it, but I did to two coats!

This is an awesome polish for Fall! Topcoat with KBShimmer's Fast drying topcoat!

Whimsical by Pam~ Eye of Kewt

Well Hello Everyone! Sorry, its been sooo long since I last posted a blog! I had a move to take care of! Anyways, I'm back and slowly getting back into the action!

Well as we all know, Halloween is one week from tomorrow! So today on the blog I have a Halloween polish for you. Whimsical by Pam has out done herself this year!!! Tonight I bring you one of her named Eye of Kewt.

Eye of Kewt is a Black Jelly based polish with different sizes of orange glitter in it! And when it is on it Is a squishy awesomeness polish! Eye of Kewt was named after her Kitty Kitty's eyes! Eye of Kewt reminded her of Kismet's eyes! And let me just say, that cat has pretty eyes!

Isn't just beautiful in the bottle??
Without further ado, let me show you the awesomeness! **You'll noticed I did a nail art accent, I used KBShimmer on that**

An outside shot of Eye of Kewt, I got the sun to hit just right.

This one is with the flash, and closer, you can see how pretty Eye of Kewt is here! Love this shot of it!!!

I ended up taking an inside shot, just to show you what it looks like inside (with flash)

Eye of Kewt took 2-3 coats. I had no problems whatsoever getting the glitters out! When I saw she had this polish I knew I needed it, I think it is just perfect for Halloween! If you don't have it! Get it and get it now cause this would be great for any costume outfit (well in my opinion). I used KBShimmer's Topcoat (this has been my favorite topcoat for awhile besides when I use my Zoya's that I use Zoya topcoat).

You will not regret getting Eye of Kewt! And she has no waiting for invoices right now and which means you should have it by beginning of next week (if not a little sooner). So go get it, I can't say anything bad about this polish! I'm in love with this one!!

Until later, Keep polishin' and colorful!!!

Sinful Color Leather Collection Part 2

A late night evening post! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Tonight I bring you the rest of the Sinful Colors Leather Collection!

I absolutely adored this collection (which if you read the last post, you could see that I did). I do have my favorites out this collection, but who doesn't! Bring on the Pictures!

Get it On! This was taken inside the house as my 2 year old informed as I was putting this on that the sun was going down. With Flash!

Get it On with the Ring Finger and Pinky with Topcoat! I personally think this looks better with topcoat, but I could see myself wearing it without too.

Cold Leather without Topcoat~ Natural Light!

Cold Leather with ring finger and pinky that has topcoat (sorry for the dent in my finger)

My Turn without topcoat, thought this would be the least of my favorite, but I could actually go for this. I have a sweater that would match this to the 'T'

My Turn with Topcoat on the two fingers!

Whipped without the topcoat, this hands down is a favorite black matte for sure!

Whipped with topcoat, last but certainly not least. I put Sinful Colors' Pumpkin Spice on top of this, and WOW, definitely works for fall and Halloween! Definitely loved this!

All these were taking with no flash (except for Get it On while it was taken inside). These are GREAT formulas, and I have to say that Sinful Colors did an outstanding job on this collection. Out of this group they are all top in my favorite list (yes even Get it On, topcoat makes it better to me).  I do think if you aren't a matte person, these polishes are nothing to snub at, just put topcoat on and you'll never notice the difference! Watch them shine! :) Oh did I mention they came off as a breeze! I haven't been able to put them to the test of the wear on them, but I have heard nothing but AWESOME things about the wear!

I was at Walgreens today (both in my town, that I live as for now) and they both still had this collection out. I wouldn't wait around to long to get it! If you are thinking and pondering about getting it, let me change your mind and say GET IT :).

I can't wait to get my hands on some of the Halloween ones I've heard that is out! Well I hope you enjoyed the Leather Collection as much as I have enjoyed showing them off to you!

These retail for 1.99 at Walgreens (watch their ads, about this time of year they start doing the Sinful Colors for .99, at Walgreens that is).

Side Note: I am moving in a couple of weeks (out of state actually). So, I am not sure when my next blog will be! But you can keep up with me on facebook!! Hope you all have a great week!

Until Later Keep Polishin' and Colorful!

Sinful Colors~ Leather Collection Part 1

Evening All! If you follow my Facebook page, you would have seen all 7 in a picture post of the new Leather Collection from Sinful. So, Tonight I bring you 3 out of 7 in this post! I couldn't be happier with this collection. Sinful did a cool job with these.

In the beginning I didn't want all 7 but I am glad I have all of them. I do have my favorites!

The Leather Collection is a matte finish of a polish, in the pictures you will see them in their normally finish and then another picture with two of my fingers with topcoat on them. With the topcoat on them definitely shows a whole new side to these polishes. Let me just show you!

                                                          Laced Up without the topcoat

                                                             Laced Up with topcoat

                                                            Strapped without topcoat

                                                      Strapped with topcoat (I promise)

                                                         Leather Loose without topcoat

                                                          Leather Loose with topcoat

These had great formula to them, easy to apply. These were all done with 2 coats, I think Laced Up could be done with 1. There were not streakiness after the 2nd coat was put on. the only one that was a little thinner than I would have liked was Strapped but that is an easy fix!  And these all in natural light with no flash.

Like I said I do like this collection a lot! I do have my favorites, my favorites in this group would be Laced Up and Leather Loose, I just LOVE that brown (if anyone who knows me, knows that is not a shocker).  These 3 alone are awesome for fall! The definitely have the sense of 'Yep I'm wearing a fall color'.

I really didn't want Strapped but I am glad I got it, it definitely isn't in my favorite catergory, but I could see myself wearing it during this Fall or Summer or Spring even. Oh, I heard that Strapped stains, but I had no staining issue at all.

The next post I'll have the rest of the collection. There are 4 more to this collection. I can't wait to show you those! So, keep your eyes peeled for the next post!

Until Later, Keep polishin' and colorful

Mentality Sexy

Evening All! Hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend! Today I bring you a pretty sexy color and yes that is the name of the polish: Sexy by Mentality Nail Polish! This polish is considered a polish for stamping, well I didn't want it for that because I honestly don't stamp well at all (I'm still learning).

So without further ado let me show you Sexy! I did two coats in the pictures and with topcoat! OH and you will see a little art work that I used a Pure Ice grey and Mentality's Rascal for the art on my ring finger! Here let me just show you:

This is in the natural sunlight (no Flash)!

This one is with flash in the sun.

Sexy is a stamper polish (as I said above), this also has holo in it. I want to say it is a linear holo but could be described as a scattered holo. More likely in between. I would describe the undertones as a purple and brown, in different lights you can see both the purple and brown undertones. This is actually a perfect Fall color! And since Autumn is right upon us. What a perfect polish to start off with.

Sexy went on so smooth and no dragging whatsoever, I did do this in two coats but this could easily be a one coater. Who doesn't love a one to two coater!

Since this is a stamper polish and since I am not that great at stamping, I wanted to do something for art wise. So I did think long and hard on that (almost to the point where it kept me up, Ha, polish is my friend). I decided I would use another favorite from Mentality for my art work: Rascal (if you haven't seen Rascal you are missing out on one of the best black matte's EVER). I first thought of doing saran wrap but quickly decided against that, so I did flowers instead! I like the black with this polish! Anyways, this polish is an awesome polish!

If you don't own this one get it, if you don't any from Mentality, you are definitely missing out!

You can visit Mentality's facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/MentalityPolish

And their store at: http://www.mentalitynailpolish.bigcartel.com/

They are always coming up with something new, can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves next!

Until later, Keep polishin' and Colorful!

Glittering Elements~ Take it to the Grave

Afternoon all! Today I want to bring you one of 3 polishes I received in a giveaway by Glittering Elements. This one that I will bring to you today is Take it to the Grave. Take it to the Grave is from the Secret Trio (Secret Keeper and Shh Don't Tell).

These are Linear Holo goodness polishes!

Glittering Elements is an Indie maker and resides in Australia (Made in the Land of Oz). She ships worldwide.

Here is Take it to the Grave, Outside with the flash on! See the holo goodness. No Topcoat (none of the pictures have topcoat on). I wanted the polish to show its beauty without topcoat!

                                                                      Without Flash

And Inside shot with a light shining on it, really showed the holo in it!

What can I say about Take it to the Grave accept amazing, the formula was outstanding, no issues with working with the polish at all! Went on smooth as butter .. and I did do 3 coats just cause I am in low light where I was applying and wanted to make sure I covered it all.

The first coat I put on was thin but the second coat evened it out with NO problems whatsoever. When you are in dim light and then you get into like the sun and look at your nails, its like WOW! You will be staring at your nails, so much sure you aren't driving haha.

Anyways, Glittering Elements has out done herself with this polish/trio. If you haven't heard of her definitely check her out! She has an etsy store : http://www.etsy.com/shop/GlitteringElements
And her facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/GlitteringElements

Over all, I'm real happy with Take it to the Grave. I can't wait to put on the other two! I definitely suggest her and she is a great person to work with!!

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat

Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I bring you 4 Sally Hansen Sugar Coats that I found on clearance at a Target, on a trip I was taking with my family at the time. I honestly don't know how many their is in this part of the collection! I am glad I got these 4!

Alright, in this post you'll see Sour Apple, Cotton Candies, Bubble Plum and Razzle-berry. I can't wait to show you these pictures, so let's do that now.
                                                              Sour Apple, with flash

Sour Apple, without flash (and closer)

                                                      Cotton Candies, without flash

                                                      Cotton Candies, with flash

                                                             Bubble Plum, with flash

                                                     Bubble Plum, without flash

                                                      Razzle-berry without flash

I was actually impressed with this collection, only because I had trouble with China Glaze Texture collection with it being so gritty, but definitely not the Sally Hansen Sugar Coat. It applied like a DREAM and oh yeah no topcoat whatsoever, the hubby said I didn't let them dry and I said yes I did hehe, that should tell ya how shiny it was.

My only downfall on this was after I took Razzle-berry off it stained my nails :( but its all good, it is still a very pretty blue and I would be forgiving and wear it again.

Other than the staining from Razzle-berry (which by the way is my favorite out of this collection) I don't have anything bad to say about it, taking it off was a piece of cake, none of the grittiness I thought I was gonna have from it.

I am a purple fan, however Bubble Plum didn't give me the WOW factor. So, it has made it to my least favorite list.

I had fun swatching these and I hope you guys enjoyed this post and the pictures. This collection would actually be a contender in what would be my favorite textured collection. And that says a lot!!

Like I said I found these at a Target and they were on clearance. They were less than 2.00 a piece, maybe a Target near you still has some! Definitely get the Razzle-berry (haha).

Well until later,

Honey Button Nail Polish

Hey Everyone! Hope you had a fantastic week! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I have a question for ya'll, have you ever heard of Honey Button Nail Polish? Well, if not do I have a treat for you today!!! Get ready, cause this is gonna be a pretty cool blog today! So, seriously let's get started! I'll show you the pictures and then I'll talk to you about the polishes and Honey Button (can't wait)!

As you see, the both have different labels, well with Honey Button Nail Polish (Let's do HBNP for short) you can chose your own labels, that is right you can! At HBNP she is great to work with and will help you determine what is best for you, oh did I forget to mention she also does your own custom nail polish as well! I saw one on facebook that she did just the other day for a birthday party! It was adorable!

The Top polish I created because it what I believe in my walk with God (no no preachin')and the second one is created for preemie babies, since my 2 (almost 3) year old was a preemie and Prematurity day is coming up in Nov, I thought this fit and perfect with the colors for prematurity day!

Anyways, as you see in the top picture I am wearing the red one and let me tell you the polish was a dream to put on! And oh my, it was gorg. I got compliments on it for sure! The red one has scattered holo in it, if I had been in the sun more for that picture it would have shown more of the holo, but since I was in a place where I couldn't, it is still gorgeous!

This is how cool this is, one of my friend's got a label with Jasper on it from Twilight. Are there any Twilight fans? She can definitely put that on there for you! Seriously, she is the greatest! I can't wait to order more, I have an idea for a friend of mine's daughter who like Paris themed stuff!

So, wait are you waiting for check her out at: https://www.facebook.com/HoneyButtonsNailPolish

She does do memorial polishes as well and those are 8.00 and her normal ones are 5.00, again GREAT to work with!!!

So, until Later Keep Polishin' and Keep Colorful!

Liquid Sky Lacquer~ Wine & Roses

Evening All! I hope this post finds ya'll enjoying your Saturday and hope it was relaxing one! Honestly, the only thing I did was run to Sally's this morning and being lazy rest of the day (love days like that).

Tonight, I have a post for you that I don't know if many have heard of before or not, this is an indie polish maker. And it is Liquid Sky Lacquer. I only recently heard about her from another blogger friend of mine!

So, tonight I bring you Wine & Roses. This polish is a Thermal Changing polish! Cool right? Wait til you see the pictures! I actually bought this polish from a friend of mine and I know when I got it I couldn't wait to try it out!

Let me show you guys the pictures! The first picture is the actual bottle shot with how it looks when it is not doing the thermal thing (funny right?), so let's get to it:

Ladies (and gentlemen) let me introduce you to Wine & Roses by Liquid Sky Lacquers. This was an indoor shot and can you see how much darker it is in the bottle compared to my nails. Yeah it gets better.  Let's move on to the next picture!

There is the beauty, oh did I forget to tell you all this polish also has scattered holo in it? Oh yeah, this is definitely a polish that has beauty. As you see in this picture my tips are darker than the rest of the nail. I held my fingers in front of the a/c in the car and within secs the 'Wine' shows up.

Even though this is a blurry picture, it definitely shows the holo more in it. This is a beauty for sure! Hubby told me I was having WAY to much fun with this polish, getting it to change colors (He was right I was). Even in Sally's today it turned on me and even at one point today looked like a gradient was going on, now that was cool to see!

Okay, last picture before I go! This one was taken with no flash and the sun was hitting it! Even if you can't totally see the holo in it, is has a lot going for it, 1: it's pretty and 2: it changes color (who doesn't like that, :D ).

This polish was fun to put on after I did 3 coats of this polish (I was having fun watching it get lighter after I put it on, yes I stopped at 3) and when I did a topcoat it changed the tips like you see above! Maybe, this polish was a little bit to much fun to play with, but isn't that what is the fun part about polish anyways?

I honestly can't tell you which color I like more! At one point earlier I said I liked the 'Wine' better and now I'm thinking the 'Roses'. If you have this polish what is your favorite?

This was an easy polish to work with! Like I said I had to make myself stop after 3 coats because I having fun watching the colors change!  The application of this polish was a dream, definitely couldn't ask for a better polish as far as the application is concerned!

So, if you liked this polish or thought it was just cool go check out Liquid Sky Lacquer on Facebook. And follow her there while you are there! Here is the link to her facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LiquidSkyLacquer  and a link to her store: http://www.liquidskylacquer.bigcartel.com/

Well, I had to bring this cool polish, I know I just posted one with Just Keep Swimming, but I couldn't keep this polish to myself :D

Until next time Keep Polishin' and Keep Colorful!

Different Dimensions~ Just Keep Swimming

Hey Everyone, Hope you are having a great week! Today on the blog I have Different Dimensions' Just Keep Swimming.

2 things about this polish, 1. Finding Nemo was the first movie and date that the hubby and I went on. So I just knew I needed to have this polish! And I am so glad I have it! 2. It is very shy without the flash on, makes me sad that it is this shy, but still in love with it!

I'm gonna show you 3 pictures all without topcoat, so let's go!

This is in the cloudy start to the day, as you see it is very shy (I could see the perfection of holo on it when I was out there this morning). But like I said it is a shy polish.

This is with flash, same cloudy start of the day.

This is inside with flash, look at that holo goodness.

Even the hubby loves it, I ABSOLUTELY love the blue, it an amazing blue and I think Missi did a great job capturing the blue color of the water!!!

This polish was a breeze to put on (even at 5 am)! As are a lot of Different Dimension's polishes. All pictures are shown with 2 coats and no topcoat! Even sitting here in the semi dark (except for the tv and computer on) I'm looking at my nails and the blue is so vibrant that I just can't quit staring at them, she really nailed this one! I know I have said it a lot in this post, but I really do Love this polish!!!

Just Keep Swimming is sold at Missi's Different Dimensions Etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/DIFFERENTdimension

And her facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/DIFdimension/info , make sure you go and like her page, to watch for upcoming polishes, giveaways or a sale!

Well I hope you all are and have enjoyed Just Keep Swimming as much as I have!

Above the Curve~ Caty Perry-winkle

Evening All! Tonight I have a awesome polish to show you! It is made by one of my favorite Indie's Above the Curve. So, I'm so excited to show you this polish, so let's get started... Here we go:

This is outside with no flash (sorry the sun was starting to go down by the time I got to taken this pic).

Indoors with Flash (see the holo, oh yeah)

First off Above the Curve out did themselves on this polish! I have to say right here and now that this is one of my favorites from Above the Curve.

This polish is a Perry-winkle color, they got it spot on! Mr. Mani's says in the bedroom light it looks purple and when the sun hits it definitely brings the blue out and man it is stunning when it does this!

In both photos there is no topcoat! That is how shiny it is all on its own! I will admit I debating about using a topcoat at all, and I finally did!

This polish glided on with ease. 2 coats and that was all it took, you could do one thick coat if you so feel the desire to do so. This has to me linear and scattered holo (I know how can it have both)? But at times in scatteredness I can see the holo more and in just moving it very slowly it looks linear to me. I know confusing (sorry).

This polish is beyond amazing! 2 days on and no chips! I have to say I believe this would be my 'go to polish'.

Again if you don't have this or heard of Above the Curve you are missing out!!!

Here is Above the Curve's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AboveTheCurveNailPolish?fref=ts

Retails for: 9.00 but every 1.00 goes to Shriners (so please keep that in mind and help out for a good cause). They are an awesome team and the like to please!!!

Oh, since I said this was my 'go to polish'. Do you have one??

Until later! Keep polishin' and colorful!
